Downsview is surrounded by the beautiful North Downs and is only minutes away from the old market town of Ashford. From Ashford International station you can take the high speed train to London and be there in just 36 minutes, or board the Eurostar. The Eurotunnel and the ferry port of Dover are a short drive away.
Downsview is about 2 miles from the M20 and the William Harvey Hospital and less than 2 miles from the Pilgrims Hospice. The Olympic sized Julie Rose Track & Field Stadium and the Conningbrook Lakes & Country Park are ½ a mile away. Skirted by three designated Areas of Outstanding Beauty, the area is covered with walks, chocolate box villages and stunning countryside and is ideal for cyclists and ramblers.
There are many places to visit close by including Godinton House & Gardens, Leeds Castle, Chilham, Rye, Canterbury, Faversham and Dover Castle. National Trust properties, windmills and oast houses are dotted all over the countryside. Nearby are the world famous Howletts and Port Lympne Wild Animal Parks.
Canterbury, Margate (for the Turner Contempory Art Gallery), Maidstone, the Rare Breeds Centre and the north and south coasts are all within easy reach. Romney Marsh, with its glorious sandy beaches, and Dungeness are just a short drive away.
